On 12 November, the NEWWORLD team held its first meeting with the Advisory Committee. The event opened in the morning at the Collegio Giasone del Maino with a presentation of the project by the team members, followed by a talk from Claudio Ferlan drawing on his latest book La natura dell’altro. La storia mai conclusa dei nativi del Nordamerica (il Mulino, 2025). The afternoon session took place in the Sala Lauree of the Palazzo Centrale and began with a talk by Pasquale Terracciano based on his latest book I capaci e i meritevoli. Storia filosofica del merito (Marsilio, 2025). This was followed by a workshop on controlled anachronism as a historical-philosophical method, with contributions from Elisabetta Basso, Matteo Di Tullio, Martino Lorenzo Fagnani and Francesco Torchiani. The day concluded with a friendly apericena held in the Aula Forlanini. Now, the project has truly begun!
