On 5-6 October 2026, Paris hosted Ecology. The Longue Durée of a Modern Idea, an international workshop co-organised by Stefanie Buchenau (Sorbonne Nouvelle, PI of the ERC project Oecologie), Catherine König-Pralong (EHESS, Centre Alexandre-Koyré) and Cecilia Muratori (Università di Pavia, PI of the ERC project NEWWORLD). The event brought together historical and philosophical perspectives on the longue durée of the idea of ecology.
